1. Power down the device and remove the battery, make sure you clean your device leaving no residue or fingerprint’s making your device look “brand new.”  This is the best time to apply SD™

2. Wash your hands thoroughly, to remove all potential dirt and dust that could possibly stick to the film, and keep your fingers moist throughout the whole wet application install process.
   
   
3. Make sure you visually align your Scratch Dummy Protection Kit™ with your device to match all pieces accordingly.
   
   
4. All pieces that require a wet application should be applied before any dry application pieces.
   *(Specialty skins e.g. carbon fiber and brushed metal require DRY installation.)
   
   
5. Begin first with the larger pieces (e.g. Screen, Backs), and then work your way to the smaller pieces (e.g. Side’s, edge’s, and button’s)
    *Rule of thumb!  If the protection piece is wider than your thumb, it should be applied wet - if it is thinner than your thumb, it is applied dry).
   
   
6. Emerge / Spray your Scratch Dummy Protection Kit™ with your water ready solution.
   
   
7. Peel back and reemerge / spray your wet application piece back into your solution, make sure not to let it sit in or scrape the bottom / sides of the bowl, or be exposed to open air for prolonged period of time.
   
   
8. Apply the piece to the correct section of the device; try not to let the adhesive side of the film be exposed too long to avoid any unwanted debris sticking to the film.
   
   
9. Firmly align your piece to the device and in an outward motion starting in the middle of the film, squeegee out all excess moisture and air pockets.
   
   
10. Let the wet application pieces completely dry before applying any dry application pieces, and review the care instructions.
    
    

*NOTE: Upon the installation of your Scratch Dummy Protection Kit™, there may be a slight smoky haze beneath the film.  It can take 2-3 days for Scratch Dummy™ to reach its optimal clarity.
